ABTL won the first prize in the Hong Kong Merchants Cup Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

On December 31, 2024, the launch ceremony and first roadshow of the "China Merchants Cup" Creative Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Hong Kong was held in Hong Kong, sponsored by China Merchants Financial Holding and China Merchants Venture Capital, hosted by China Merchants QHANG and Hong Kong Jingxin Exchange Association, supported by China Merchants Group Youth Work Department and Science and Technology Innovation Department, and sponsored by China Merchants Charitable Foundation. Mr. Chung Kwok-tung, Director of China Merchants Group, Mr. Leung Hong-ching, Under Secretary for Home Affairs and Youth Affairs of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Ms. Maggie Cheung, Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, attended and delivered speeches at the launch ceremony. Mr. Zeng Shendian, Vice President of Hong Kong China Enterprises Association, Mr. Li Yadong, Assistant General Manager and Director of Youth Work Department/Social Work Department of China Merchants Group, and other leaders and guests attended the event.

The first roadshow of the "Science and Technology Creative Innovation Group", the six project teams covered many fields such as digital intelligence technology, life technology, and green technology. The expert jury considers the project from the perspective of marketization and industrialization, and puts forward targeted recommendations for the project. After intense competition, the project "Zero-waste low-cost refining of biomass crude oil from organic solid Waste" submitted by ABLT won the first prize.
